How to create a new profile for Opera 7 - The basics

1. Make a folder for your profile. For this example we will call it "C:\MyProfile"
2. Create a file called "Opera6.ini" in your new directory.
3. In the file Opera6.ini write the following lines and then save it:

   Opera Preferences version 2.0
   [USER PREFS]
   Opera Directory=C:\MyProfile
   [MAIL]
   Mail Root Directory=C:\MyProfile\Mail
   

4. On the desktop right click and choose "Create new shortcut"
5. Type in the target value: "C:\Program Files\Opera7\opera.exe" /Settings "C:\MyProfile\Opera6.ini"
6. Type in the start in value: "C:\Program Files\Opera7"

You can now run your new profile.
