Phil Burns Software
Phil Burns lives with his family in a renovated cottage in County Sligo in the
North West of Ireland.
He has had a long standing interest in the
Opera Web browser not only because of its speed,
its small size, its standards compliance and configurability,
but also because of the user friendliness of the company that
produce it.
These pages are mostly resources for users of the Opera Browser on the Windows
platform, but some sections such as the bookmarklets page will be of use for all platforms.

QuickShow
Since version 5 Opera has had a little used feature called 'OperaShow'.
What this feature does is turn the browser into a full presentation
viewer when it enters full screen mode, that is if the web page being
viewed contains the necessary code to do that. Until now there has been
no software specially written to produce the necessary code to make
these presentations.
QuickShow is an
application especially written to author these OperaShow presentations.
Opera Customiser & Profile Maker (O6CPM & O5CPM)
This is a tool I created initially to make life easier for myself and my family, it can customise a number of hidden settings in Opera, and can
also setup any number of new profiles for the Opera Browser. Read more about it and download it
here.
Bookmarklets for Opera
Bookmarklets are free tools for power surfing. Each tool is a small JavaScript application which you can bookmark directly from the page and use from your Dropdown Bookmarks or Hotlist.
